Amanda Laviage is an Associate in the firm’s Houston office and Commercial Litigation section. Her practice includes the areas of general commercial litigation, consumer financial services litigation, and labor and employment. She has experience in appellate matters, including those assigned by the State Bar of Texas Appellate Section Pro Bono Committee.
During law school, Amanda served as Judicial Intern for the Honorable Wesley Ward in the Harris County 234th Civil District Court, and for the Honorable Joseph “Tad” Halbach in the Harris County 333rd Civil District Court.
Amanda is a 2016 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, where she was a Staff Editor and Assistant Symposium Editor of the Texas Journal of Women, Gender, and the Law. During law school, Amanda worked as a Student Attorney in UT’s Domestic Violence Clinic, where she represented victims of domestic violence in related civil matters. Amanda received her B.A. in Political Science and Communication from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2013.
