Barry McCain’s commercial litigation practice focuses primarily on consumer financial services litigation, including alleged violations of state and federal consumer statutes. He has represented financial institutions and lenders in matters involving the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Texas Debt Collection Act (TDCA), and Texas Property Code. He has also litigated title disputes and breach-of-contract claims.
In law school, Barry worked as an intern at a legal publishing company and assisted with The Winning Brief and the 10th edition of Black's Law Dictionary, among other projects.
Prior to practicing law, Barry worked for a national bank in its capital finance division, and as a financial analyst. He also has prior experience in the insurance industry.
Barry enjoys running and solving puzzles. He lives in Dallas with his wife and two children.
