Matt D. Manning is an attorney with the firm's Houston, Texas office. Matt practices primarily in the areas of commercial and consumer financial litigation and creditor’s rights in bankruptcy. He frequently represents banks and mortgage loan servicers in the litigation of suits and in both state and federal courts. Matt has represented and defended clients in suits asserting claims under the Truth in Lending Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, as well as suits based on alleged violations of the Texas Constitution’s provisions on home equity lending. In addition, Matt has been the principal drafter of multiple appellate briefs submitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
