Stephanie Laird Tolson

Stephanie Laird Tolson is of counsel in the firm's Houston office. She has extensive experience in commercial litigation, appellate law, bankruptcy and insurance coverage and practices in the firm's commercial litigation section. Stephanie represents commercial lenders, banks, insurance companies, construction companies, industrial suppliers and credit card processing providers. She has significant trial experience and has tried cases before federal and state courts and state administrative agencies. Stephanie has also presented appeals before the Texas Courts of Appeal and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Litigation

Stephanie represents commercial clients in a wide range of business disputes. Included among these matters are non-compete and trade secret litigation, construction related litigation and litigation before the bankruptcy courts.

Consumer Financial Services

Stephanie represents financial institutions in complex litigation. Included in the litigation matters she has handled are cases involving discrimination in lending, mortgage fraud and credit card processing.

Stephanie serves on the board of directors and various committees for the Women's Business Enterprise Alliance (WBEA). The WBEA certifies women owned businesses in the State of Texas and supports women business owners in developing business with corporate partners such as McGlinchey Stafford and various McGlinchey Stafford clients. Stephanie has also provided legal services to Living Water International, a charity that drills for water wells in developing nations.
