Eldon L. Youngblood is a member in the firm's Dallas office and focuses his practice on real estate finance matters, with emphasis on lender issues, mortgage banking and construction law. He is also heavily involved in providing a wide range of legal services to the mortgage banking industry.
Eldon has authored articles in more than 50 journals and seminar papers on real estate mortgage and finance topics, including "Mechanics' and Materialmen's Liens in Texas," 26 Southwestern Law Journal 889 (1981) and "The Special Problems of Construction Loan Workouts," Texas State Bar Advanced Real Estate Course, 1989. He also authored a book entitled Youngblood on Texas Mechanics' Liens (Kirk 1997), a legal guidebook pertaining to residential loan closings, and a monograph on residential assignments of lien. He has been a speaker at more than 50 Bar and law school-sponsored seminars throughout Texas on real estate lending and mechanics' lien topics.
Eldon was an adjunct professor at the Southern Methodist University School of Law from 1974 to 1976.
