3 McGlinchey Attorneys Receive LSBA Young Lawyer Awards
Read Time: 3 minsMcGlinchey Stafford is proud to announce that three of its New Orleans-based attorneys have been recognized by the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA) Young Lawyers Division (YLD) for their exceptional contributions to the profession on April 11:

- Gillian Miculek McCarroll – Hon. Michaelle Pitard Wynne Professionalism Award
- Sean Sullivan – Top 40 Young Lawyers

Associate Andrew Albritton, who has practiced with the firm since 2021, was named among the Top 40 Young Lawyers in Louisiana. Andrew’s meticulous work ethic, responsiveness, and commitment to his clients ensure that his work product consistently meets the highest professional standards.
Andrew has a diverse practice representing national financial institutions, restaurant franchisees, hospitality providers, local non-profits, and charter schools in employment law and litigation. Notably, as a first-year Associate, he was entrusted with leadership of McGlinchey PRIDE, the firm’s LGBTQ+ Resource Group, which he has led since 2022. Andrew clerked in McGlinchey’s New Orleans office on three occasions, including as the firm’s LCLD 1L Scholar. He graduated cum laude from Tulane University Law School. He holds a B.S.B.A. in Economics from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he was the single graduate awarded the President’s Leadership Award and was named the Outstanding Graduate for the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration. Andrew serves on the Board of Directors for the New Orleans Speech and Hearing Center and volunteers with Project Lazarus, a transitional living facility for people living with HIV/AIDS.
Associate Gillian Miculek McCarroll was named the 2025 Hon. Michelle Pitard Wynne Professionalism Award recipient. This prestigious honor is bestowed upon young lawyers who exemplify the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and civility in their practice. Gillian exhibits professional judgement beyond her years of practice, is consummately prepared, and treats colleagues, opposing counsel, and judicial staff with respect.
Gillian litigates claims involving products liability, transportation, asbestos, mass torts, and toxic chemicals in mediation, bench, and jury trials. She was recognized among 2024 Ones to Watch (Commercial Litigation) by The Best Lawyers in America® and among the 2025 Rising Stars (Business Litigation) by Louisiana Super Lawyers. Gillian is a graduate of LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center who clerked in McGlinchey’s New Orleans and Baton Rouge offices prior to completing her J.D./D.C.L degree. She graduated magna cum laude with and B.S. in Accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University.
Sean Sullivan, who was named Member in January, has also been recognized as one of the Top 40 Young Lawyers in Louisiana. In 2024, he was recognized in New Orleans CityBusiness’s Leadership in Law recognition and named in The Best Lawyers in America® for Insurance Law. He has also received numerous honors for his service to the Pro Bono Project.
Sean has built a diverse and specialized legal practice with 15 years of experience in insurance coverage and defense. His practice focuses on first-party property claims, particularly those involving the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and homeowners insurance, navigating both federal and state court systems nationwide. He obtained a certification in water damage restoration from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), and also handles general liability, personal injury, premises coverage, and maritime work. Licensed to practice in Alabama, Louisiana, and Washington, Sean earned a J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and a B.S. from Georgetown University.
The LSBA Young Lawyers Division Awards celebrate the accomplishments of young attorneys who demonstrate outstanding professionalism, service, and dedication to the legal field.
