A BOLD Approach: McGlinchey’s African American Affinity Group Rebrands

McGlinchey is proud to announce that the firm is relaunching its African American Affinity Group under a new identity: BOLD, McGlinchey’s Black Originators, Leaders, and Doers.
“This new identity aligns with our group’s priorities for action and inclusivity,” said Camille Bryant, who chairs the group. “BOLD serves as a home for McGlinchey’s lawyers of color to network and share resources, within and outside of the firm.”
BOLD is a network for McGlinchey’s African, African-American, Black, and Caribbean attorneys across the diaspora. The group’s mission is to foster an equitable and inclusive workplace for all, by spotlighting workplace issues unique to the community and working to effect meaningful change in the places where we live and work.
“McGlinchey is very proud of our affinity groups which bolster and promote our culture wherein each employee is welcomed, valued, and supported to do their best work,” said Michael Ferachi, McGlinchey’s Managing Member. “I am excited for BOLD to have a new brand under which this group will continue its important work.”
BOLD will partner with the firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee to advocate for initiatives and programs that improve inclusion within the firm. The DEI Committee, which consists of attorneys from across the firm, works to promote initiatives and programs that enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion within the firm, including supporting and promoting attorney affinity groups.
“We are thrilled to introduce BOLD as a vital resource for our attorneys of color,” stated Eliska Plunkett, McGlinchey’s Director of Human Resources and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer. “McGlinchey is committed to fostering an equitable environment for its employees, and we are proud of this new unifying identity for the team.”
In recent years, the firm has relaunched it women’s initiative, Uplift, and McGlinchey PRIDE, its LGBTQ+ Resource Group. McGlinchey has also launched the “Ministry of Fun” and Wellness Works employee initiatives. McGlinchey also achieved Midsize Mansfield Certification in 2023, and signed on to maintain this certification for a third program year. Mansfield Certification aims to boost diversity and inclusion in the legal profession through building pipelines to careers, partnership, and leadership.
