Member Tarush Anand (Houston) will present “AEDs and the Related Legal Issues: The Shocking Truth” on Thursday, March 3, 2022, during the National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association (NRRDA) Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas.

Tarush and his co-presenters, Jacob A. Moreno, Esq. (V.P. of Claims, Qualitas Insurance Company) and Scott Bermack (Weber Gallagher) will delve into the legal issues arising out of purchasing (or not purchasing) and/or using (or not using) an AED (automated external defibrillator). Must businesses acquire an AED? Should they? What must they do if they decide to? And what risk do they face when things go wrong? The law on the subject is evolving and timely, as Texas has just passed a new AED-related law that recently went into effect.
