The boutique intellectual property firm Sieberth & Patty, LLC announced today that it will join the national law firm McGlinchey Stafford PLLC. Effective January, 1, 2008, this merger will bolster McGlinchey Stafford’s established IP team by adding significant depth and experience to the practice.
“Albemarle is thrilled that Sieberth & Patty will be joining forces with McGlinchey Stafford. For years we have turned to Sieberth & Patty for our intellectual property needs. Both firms offer premier legal services and together will give Albemarle greater breadth of services and resources for our expanding global business” said Luther C. Kissam, IV, General Counsel & Secretary of Albemarle.
Sieberth & Patty’s team of attorneys have a broad spectrum of intellectual property experience. Each attorney has undergraduate or graduate degrees in scientific fields, as well as significant hands-on experience spanning the entire range of domestic and international IP activity. Areas of focus include patent and trademark search and analysis, preparation and prosecution, IP licensing, litigation support and portfolio management.
McGlinchey Stafford offers the full complement of intellectual property and technology services ranging from traditional copyright, trademark, trade secret and patent issues to internet commerce and business, acquisitions and sales of IP assets, insurance coverage for IP matters, unfair competition and IP litigation.
“We have been actively pursuing opportunities to enhance the services we offer our clients. Having this outstanding group of attorneys join our team is the perfect opportunity to increase our ability to serve our clients with a wider range of intellectual property and patent legal services,” said Rudy Aguilar, McGlinchey Stafford’s Managing Partner.
“Issues of intellectual property are increasingly integrated with virtually every area of law and business. Joining forces with McGlinchey Stafford is a natural move for our team and reflective of a commitment shared by both entities — to serve the needs of our clients,” said John F. (Jack) Sieberth, co-managing partner of Sieberth & Patty.”
