California’s New Banking and Lending Laws and Legislation
Read Time: 1 minAttorneys Christopher Greenidge and Sanford Shatz will co-present “California’s New Banking and Lending Laws and Legislation” at the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) Banking & Lending Section Meeting on March 10, 2025. This program will examine the new laws enacted by the legislature that will govern the Banking and Lending Industry beginning in 2025. Christopher and Sanford will examine laws that impact origination and servicing of consumer loans and commercial loans, enforcement of loans and debts, licensing, and areas of new regulations. They will also look at laws that were proposed but not enacted that may resurface in the 2025 legislature.
The Orange County Bar Association provides a wide variety of programs, services, and opportunities for its attorney members, the judiciary, and the community. It is one of the largest voluntary bar associations in California. Members meet regularly in sections and committees dedicated to various areas of law and issues of concern to the legal community. The Banking & Lending Section is a forum devoted to the problems and concerns of attorneys who work for or otherwise represent financial institutions and/or providers of financial services.
