Francis H. “Rasch” Brown III and Eugene Terk Join The Products Liability TeamRead Time: 1 min
New Orleans, LA – McGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce that Francis H. “Rasch” Brown III and Eugene Terk have joined the firm’s products liability litigation team. Mr. Brown joins as a Member and Mr. Terk is Of Counsel. Both attorneys are based in the New Orleans office.
Mr. Brown brings more than 20 years of experience to McGlinchey Stafford. A seasoned litigator, he has successfully defended manufacturers and retailers in product liability cases throughout the Southeastern U.S., many involving fire, explosions and/or catastrophic personal injuries. Mr. Brown handles cases involving a wide array of commercial and consumer products, including appliances, industrial equipment, regulators, valves, motors, power tools, hand tools, chemicals, ladders, and car and truck tires. He frequently addresses national organizations on product liability issues, including the DRI (Defense Research Institute), the Manufacturers Alliance/MAPI and the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association.
Mr. Brown earned his Juris Doctor degree from The University of Alabama School of Law in 1985 and his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama in 1981.
Mr. Terk is Of Counsel in the New Orleans office. His practice focuses on the representation of product manufacturers with clients ranging from manufacturers of tires, ladders, water heaters, valves, fall protection equipment and other various products. Mr. Terk has also worked on cases involving Chinese Drywall and on cases stemming from the Murphy oil spill in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Mr. Terk’s intellectual property experience focuses on the development, protection and licensing of intellectual property rights under copyright, trademark, patent and trade law secret law particularly within the context of entertainment, video gaming, multimedia, high-tech transactions and e-commerce. His experience also includes counseling clients conducting business on the Internet.
Mr. Terk earned his Juris Doctor degree from Tulane Law School cum laude in 2000 and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia in 1995.
