Kathy Conklin Named to New Orleans CityBusiness’ Leadership in Law Class of 2020
Employment law and employee benefits attorney Kathy Conklin (New Orleans) has been recognized in New Orleans CityBusiness‘ Leadership in Law Class of 2020.
For the past 15 years, Leadership in Law has recognized lawyers in law firms, court-associated professionals, in-house counsel, and educators for their professional and community accomplishments.
Kathy advises employers nationwide on employee benefits matters and employment law compliance. She counsels employers on compliance with ERISA, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, ADEA, and other workplace laws, from handbook design to termination considerations. Kathy also maintains an active estate planning and administration practice, drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, and handling successions.
Dual-certified by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization in both the fields of Tax Law and Estate Planning and Administration, Kathy helps employers design and draft retirement plans such as 401(k) plans and Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), health benefit plans, and executive compensation plans.
Kathy’s top-notch legal service and commitment to clients, combined with her community involvement with the Krewe of Muses, ReNEW Schools, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, and My House Center for Learning, contributed to her well-deserved Leadership in Law recognition.
A virtual reception recognizing honorees will be held on October 5 and a special Leadership in Law insert profiling all honorees will run in the October 9 issue of New Orleans CityBusiness.
