McGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce that Kimberly “Kim” Held Israel has been honored by Florida Trend as a member of the 2023 Legal Elite NOTABLE – Women Leaders in Law in recognition of her dedication to and positive impact on the legal community. As recognized leaders within their industry, these peer-nominated Women Leaders in Law are regarded for their leadership, vision, and ability to effect growth in the professional and civic organizations they serve. Honorees will be featured in the December Issue of Florida Trend.
“Kim is a standout leader both within and outside of the firm,” said Michael Ferachi, McGlinchey’s Managing Member. “I commend her on this well-deserved recognition. Her work impacts her clients, colleagues, and community in countless ways.”
Kim’s diverse legal practice focuses on complex financial services litigation, construction, commercial litigation, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy, and appeals throughout Florida state and federal courts. Handling jury and non-jury trials and appeals, Kim advocates for business entities, financial institutions, and individuals in general civil and commercial matters.
Kim is a Co-Managing Member of McGlinchey’s Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale offices and is a leader within the firm’s Financial Services Litigation practice group. She serves on a number of firm committees, including the Diversity, Member Nomination, Operations, and Technology Committees, and previously served as a member of the firm’s Policy Committee. Kim is also the Co-Chair of Uplift, McGlinchey’s Women’s Initiative, an affinity group that she helped to rebrand and relaunch in 2021. Uplift offers valuable programming, networking, and career development opportunities for McGlinchey attorneys and clients.
“I am honored to be recognized among these fellow women leaders in law and to have my work in the legal field, particularly as a mentor to young women attorneys, recognized,” Kim said. “As leaders and mentors, women are uniquely situated to listen well in order to get to the heart of an issue and effectuate change, no matter the context.”
Highly regarded in the Jacksonville area, Kim is an active participant in its business and legal communities. She currently holds leadership roles in the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL), Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association (JWLA), has served on the Board of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and is a Bencher in the Chester Bedell American Inn of Court. Earlier this year, Kim received FAWL’s 2023 President’s Award, honoring a member who has dedicated their time, talent, and support to the FAWL community and mission.
