The Louisiana School Supervisors’ Association (LSSA) was established in 1997 by a group of statewide supervisors. The association’s objectives are: to secure the advancement of public education through the improvement of classroom instruction, to place before the public the needs and problems of elementary and secondary education for the purpose of securing an intelligent appreciation of the work of the schools, to promote the general welfare of the pupils and the teachers, to emphasize the rights of individuals to the best opportunities which society is capable of offering, and to promote unity and cooperation among its members.
