McGlinchey Achieves Third Mansfield Recertification
Read Time: 2 minsIn August 2025, McGlinchey was recertified through Diversity Lab’s Midsize Mansfield program. This marks the third time the firm has met certification qualifications for the program, a year-long structured process designed to ensure all qualified talent at participating law firms have a fair and equal opportunity to be considered for hires and advancement into leadership roles. McGlinchey has participated in this extensive certification process since 2021.
“This certification represents many hours on the part of our administrative and recruiting teams, gathering, tracking, and reporting data. We know that the firm’s investment into building these programs and processes will continue to yield returns in terms of talent recruitment, retention, and promotion long into the future,” said Michael Ferachi, Managing Member.
Diversity Lab’s year-long certification process ensures that McGlinchey considers women lawyers, underrepresented racial and ethnic lawyers, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities for key roles such as leadership positions, equity partner promotions, formal client pitches, and lateral hiring. This achievement signifies McGlinchey’s sustained dedication to opening doors wider and creating transparent pathways for underrepresented groups.
“When most people think about Mansfield Certification, they think of improving the recruiting and hiring process, ensuring that we consider members of diverse populations for incoming roles,” said Margeaux Roush, Director of Talent Acquisition. “Equally important is the considerable work our teams have put into advancing inclusive and transparent leadership processes. This entails drafting and publishing job descriptions for leadership roles and making accessible information about the pathway to partnership, equity partnership, and other positions.”
McGlinchey is proud to have been one of the first 100 firms in the U.S. and Canada to achieve Midsize Mansfield Certification. This program, launched in 2020, is designed for firms with fewer than 150 lawyers. It was created to accommodate midsize firms that may have smaller footprints, less formal leadership structures, and fewer hiring and promotion opportunities.
With data now proving Mansfield’s impact—75% of certified firms have significantly improved diverse representation in client pitch teams, lateral partner hires, and equity partner promotions—McGlinchey is leveraging this framework to expand opportunities for its diverse talent. McGlinchey is proud to be part of this ongoing transformation.
