McGlinchey attorneys earn Information Privacy certificationRead Time: 1 min
McGlinchey proudly announces that attorneys Dhruv Sharma (Irvine) and Paul Lysobey (Cleveland) have recently earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional/US (CIPP/US) designation.
“Data privacy is paramount to every company, irrespective of industry or business model, and is constantly evolving,” said Chris Couch (Birmingham), McGlinchey’s Chief Privacy Officer and Co-Chair of McGlinchey’s Cybersecurity and Data Privacy team, who also holds the CIPP/US certification. “McGlinchey is committed to maintaining a cutting-edge understanding of the data privacy and cybersecurity landscape and providing our clients up-to-the-minute guidance on these matters.”
All three of these attorneys represent banks and other providers of consumer financial services, institutions subject to the highest degree and volume of privacy and information security regulation. They advise clients on matters involving privacy and information security program management, technology acquisition, and corporate incident response, in both the regulatory compliance and litigation contexts. They represent three of the firm’s 15 offices.
This designation, conferred by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), recognizes these attorneys’ mastery of jurisdictional laws, regulations, and enforcement models, as well as legal requirements for handling and transferring data.
