McGlinchey Hires Zina Gabsi, First New Attorney After Opening Tampa Office
Read Time: 2 minsMcGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce that Zina Gabsi has joined its Tampa office as Of Counsel with the Financial Services Litigation group. Zina is the fifth attorney affiliated with the Tampa office and the first hire since the official office opening in early September. This brings the number of McGlinchey’s Tampa office employees to five attorneys and two staff members.
“Zina’s background spanning bankruptcy as well as transactions and a host of commercial litigation issues makes her a great addition to our team here in Tampa,” said Ed Whitson, Co-Managing Member of McGlinchey’s Tampa office. “I am excited to expand the services we offer our clients by bringing her on board.”
Zina’s practice focuses on representing financial services companies in various contexts. She works on bankruptcy, creditors’ rights disputes, and workouts as well as commercial disputes and claims brought under Federal and state consumer protection statutes. With broad litigation experience, Zina also handles officer, director, and shareholder derivative disputes, LLC partnership disputes, and trade secret litigation.
“The diversity of experience Zina brings in terms of financial services litigation as well as commercial litigation will serve our clients very well,” said Shaun Ramey, Chair of McGlinchey’s national Financial Services Litigation practice.
When financial institutions are involved in transactions, Zina represents lenders in due diligence including but not limited to reviewing municipal lien searches, title work, and advising clients on risk assessment and compliance with local and federal regulations. She also prepares financing documentation for and negotiates commercial loans and sees real estate and asset backed closings through from start to finish.
A Tampa native, Zina is returning home after living and working in the Miami-Dade area. Licensed in Florida, Zina holds a J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a B.A. in Business Administration. She is a member of the Florida Bar Association, Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and previously served as Digital Marketing Chair for the Junior League of Miami.
