McGlinchey Stafford Awards Diversity Fellowship to First-Year Law Student
Read Time: 1 minNew Orleans, LA (May 12, 2010) – National law firm McGlinchey Stafford PLLC announced today that it has awarded Diamond Paten the Diversity Fellowship Award, a distinguished honor given to one first year law student each year.
The McGlinchey Stafford Diversity Fellowship Program represents the firm’s active commitment to a diverse workplace and the inclusion and retention of talented professionals. This year the program received more than 30 applicants and the firm selected Ms. Paten because of her proven leadership skills and excellent academic credentials.

About the 2010 Diversity Fellowship Award
The award consists of:
Scholarship
A $5,000 scholarship to assist with the costs of books, tuition or other law school expenses, to be distributed the fall semester of the recipient’s second year of law school.
Summer Associate Position
During the summer between the first and second year of law school, each recipient will receive a paid summer associate position. Award recipients will also be considered for a position in the summer following his/her second year of law school.
Mentoring
Formal and informal mentoring by McGlinchey attorneys, during and after our Summer Associate Program, is an ongoing career development component of the award.
