McGlinchey Welcomes Commercial Litigator Natalie Vann Walker to BirminghamRead Time: 1 min
McGlinchey is pleased to announce that Natalie Vann Walker has joined the firm’s Commercial Litigation group as an associate in the Birmingham office. Natalie will focus her practice on litigation on behalf of financial institutions and lenders, creditors’ rights, complex corporate and contract disputes, and lender representation in bankruptcies and workouts. She also works with the firm’s Government Investigations/White Collar practice group.
Prior to joining the firm, Natalie was a Deputy District Attorney for the 10th Judicial Circuit of Alabama, working on a variety of criminal cases through all stages of proceedings.
“We are excited to welcome Natalie to our team,” said Chris A. Bottcher, Managing Attorney of the Birmingham office. “She built an impressive career in criminal law, and her trial experience, knowledge, and insights will be a significant benefit for our clients.”
Natalie has tried cases ranging from misdemeanors to capital murder and served as the president of the Criminal Justice Section of the Birmingham Bar Association. She also served as an instructor at the Birmingham Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, instructing law enforcement on a variety of legal topics including statutes and courtroom procedures. She has also provided legal training on the prevention of human trafficking.
“Natalie’s trial experience and keen mind for litigation will serve our clients very well,” said Anthony Rollo, chair of the firm’s national Consumer Financial Services Litigation team.
Natalie received her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 2014. While a student, she was a researcher at the National Clearinghouse for Science, Technology, and the Law, a law clerk at the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office, and an intern to the Honorable Judge John E. Ott in the Northern District of Alabama. In 2011, she received a B.A. in English from Auburn University.
