McGlinchey Welcomes Florida Associates Richard Anderson and David Castellucci
Read Time: 3 minsMcGlinchey is pleased to announce that two financial services litigators have joined its Florida footprint as Associates: Richard J. Anderson, II, based in Tampa, and David Castellucci, in Fort Lauderdale.
“David and Richard each bring a diverse background and practical skillset to our national litigation team,” said Shaun Ramey, Chair of McGlinchey’s Financial Services Litigation practice group. “Their practices, as well as their approach to the law, fit well with our team’s industry focus and culture.”
Financial Services Litigation Member Andrew Wein joined McGlinchey in Fort Lauderdale, along with paralegal Laura Liles, in September. The team has brought on 16 attorneys in the Financial Services Litigation team and five attorneys in Florida in 2025. McGlinchey’s Tampa office, its third in Florida, opened late 2024. The firm also has an office in Jacksonville.
Richard will work with the firm’s financial services, insurance, real estate, and construction litigation clients, contributing to motion practice, trial, and appellate matters, as well as alternative dispute resolution proceedings. He brings a strong background in financial services litigation, commercial and consumer financial services matters, insurance defense and coverage disputes, real estate and construction litigation, along with appellate work. With previous experience in the trades spanning construction, oil and gas, and oil and gas construction, he has a proactive and personal understanding of his clients’ concerns and goals.

While still in law school, Richard appeared pro se in an interlocutory appeal on a Florida Constitutional issue in which he wrote appellate and reply briefs, performed oral arguments before Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal, and obtained a reversal of a lower court’s ruling. He also founded the Gator Law Adoption Day (GLAD) event, which hosted over forty legal adoptions of children into new forever families in just two days.
Licensed in Florida, Richard earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, his B.A. from Northern Illinois University, and an A.A. from Rock Valley College.
David brings more than ten years of experience representing banks, lenders, and financial institutions in matters at the intersection of financial services and real estate. His litigation practice encompasses breach of contract, fraud, foreclosures, replevins, collections, creditor bankruptcy, and lender liability. He also has experience in disputes under consumer protection statutes such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Beyond litigation, David advises clients on regulatory compliance and commercial lending, and is authorized to issue title insurance policies.

In his commercial real estate practice, David handles due diligence, loan documentation, leasing, and negotiations on new developments and retrofits. His background includes both private practice and in-house roles, giving him insight into how legal strategies align with day-to-day operations and long-term business goals.
Among his notable achievements: successfully defending on appeal a contested summary final judgment for imposing and foreclosing an equitable lien on homestead property, litigating bankruptcy adversary proceedings involving non-dischargeability, structuring complex loan packages, and closing multimillion-dollar commercial loans.
David holds a J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law and dual undergraduate degrees from the University of Central Florida: B.S.B.A. in Management and a B.A. in Political Science. He is admitted to practice in Florida and authorized to issue title insurance through Old Republic National Title Insurance Company. David is active on the Board of the Palm Beach County Attorney’s Real Estate Council as well as the Palm Beach County Bar Association and the Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section.
