McGlinchey welcomes litigator Franklin Milam in Tennessee
Read Time: 1 minMcGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce that W. Franklin Milam has joined its Nashville office as an Associate in the Financial Services Litigation group.
“We are excited to add a litigator of Franklin’s talents to our team here in Nashville,” said Will Wojcik, Office Managing Member. “His 360-degree perspective on disputes will serve our clients well in various industries.”
In addition to his financial services work, Franklin represents clients in matters spanning real estate, commercial litigation, and products liability disputes. He has handled numerous bench and jury trials. Given his broad, diverse experience, Franklin also has experience with antitrust and competition matters, landlord-tenant disputes, creditors’ rights, insurance defense, and other areas.
“With his combination legal and economic training, Franklin brings a sophisticated litigation skillset to our financial service clients nationwide,” said Shaun Ramey, Chair of the national Financial Services Litigation team. Franklin is one of 16 new attorneys hired in the Financial Services Litigation team in 2025.
Franklin held previous positions as an Assistant Attorney General for the state of Tennessee and as a prosecutor in the Eighth Judicial Circuit for Warren and Edmonson Counties, Kentucky. He has spent almost 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, including three tours of duty, and now serves as a Reservist. His military experience includes everything from logistics, process improvement, and project management to military policy and military training.
Licensed in Tennessee and Kentucky, Franklin earned a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Kentucky College of Law. He also earned a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Economics from Western Kentucky University and previously worked as an economist with the U.S. Dept. of Labor.
