McGlinchey Welcomes Returning Litigator Aimee Szygenda
Read Time: 2 minsMcGlinchey is pleased to announce that Aimee Guidry Szygenda has returned to the firm’s Dallas office as an Of Counsel in the firm’s Financial Services Litigation practice group. She worked in the firm’s Financial Services Litigation practice group, most recently as an Of Counsel, from 2005-2019.
“We are happy to welcome Aimee back to McGlinchey’s Dallas office,” said Dwayne Danner, Dallas Office Managing Member. “Her familiarity with the particular considerations at play in financial services litigation complements the offerings we provide here in Texas for clients nationwide.”
After leaving McGlinchey in 2019, Aimee worked as Of Counsel at boutique litigation firm Lillard Wise Szygenda PLLC. There, her practice focused on representing energy companies in commercial and general civil litigation matters.

Aimee represents consumer financial services providers including state and national banks, mortgage servicers, credit card issuers, auto financers, and third party debt collectors. She often defends claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and the Texas Debt Collection Act (TDCA). In addition, Aimee often defends cases for automotive financing clients sued under the FTC Holder in Due Course Rule. Her representation of financial services clients extends to commercial disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, and identity theft.
Aimee earned her J.D. from Baylor University School of Law in 2000. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997. Active in the Dallas community, Aimee is a member of the Dallas Bar Association and State Bar of Texas. Since 2018 she has been a Trustee for the Preston Hollow Presbyterian School.
