McGlinchey Welcomes Taylor Watts to its Enterprise Litigation and Investigations Section in Houston
Read Time: 1 minMcGlinchey is pleased to announce that Taylor Watts has joined the law firm’s Enterprise Litigation and Investigations practice group as an associate in the Houston office. Taylor will focus her practice on the legal issues faced by businesses including construction, transportation, products liability, premises liability, and other serious personal injury claims.
Prior to joining McGlinchey, Taylor served as an assistant district attorney for Fort Bend County and Galveston County, where she took numerous cases to trial, argued motions, conducted legal research, and drafted briefs in preparation for contested hearings.
“We are happy to welcome Taylor to McGlinchey,” said Tarush Anand, a member in the firm’s Houston office. “The extensive courtroom and trial experience she has gained through her work as a prosecutor makes her a great addition to our litigation and trial team.”
Taylor also worked as a post-bar fellow with the Harris County District Attorney’s office, preparing cases for trial as well as working on judgment and sentencing documents. She assisted the prosecutors by appearing for the state to negotiate plea deals, provide evidence of probable cause, and review cases with various defense attorneys.

Taylor received her J.D., magna cum laude, from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2019. She received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, cum laude, from Texas State University in 2015.
