McGlinchey’s 50th Anniversary: Reflecting on the Past, Embracing the Future
Read Time: 1 minIn the Spring of 1973, four lawyers in New Orleans wanted to do things differently. They began to discuss the idea of starting a new firm that would, they hoped, be more responsive to client needs and progressive in its business practices. The firm of Schumacher, McGlinchey, Stafford and Mintz was born on January 1, 1974, with four partners and three associates in a suite on the 43rd floor of One Shell Square in New Orleans.
Today, McGlinchey Stafford looks very different than it did five decades ago, with 160 attorneys, 30 practice areas, and 17 offices in 12 states across the country.
Our mission of doing things differently, however, remains. The entrepreneurial spirit of our founders remains a central tenet of our culture and our business, and we strive to continue building on that legacy as we help clients address their business and legal challenges and look ahead to the milestones to come.
In honor of our anniversary, attorneys across our footprint and practices are reflecting on where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re going.
As we celebrate this milestone, we are excited to celebrate the firm we have built, embrace the culture that has positioned us to thrive, and focus on our continued growth and service to our clients and friends.
Thanks for joining us along the journey. Cheers to our next 50 years!
