McGlinchey’s Bryant, Plunkett Named ‘Leadership in Law’ Honorees by New Orleans CityBusiness
Read Time: 2 minsMcGlinchey is pleased to announce that Members (partners) Camille R. Bryant and Daniel T. Plunkett have been named “Leadership in Law” honorees by New Orleans CityBusiness. This award recognizes legal professionals in New Orleans for their career and community accomplishments.
Camille is a Member in McGlinchey’s Labor and Employment practice group. She guides employers through a wide range of employment law issues, whether through litigation or advice and counsel. Camille has experience representing employers in both single-plaintiff and class action litigation. She is a go-to lawyer and thought leader on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) issues, and is also a trusted advisor to employers as they develop Environmental Social Governance (ESG) programs.
A leader inside McGlinchey, Camille chairs the firm’s African American Affinity Group, co-chairs the New Orleans Strategic Growth Committee, and is active in many other committees. She was also McGlinchey’s selected representative to participate in the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity (LCLD)’s prestigious Pathfinder and Fellows programs which offer personal and professional development and leadership training.
Camille was recently appointed by the Louisiana legislature to the Louisiana Board of Ethics, a 14-member body which regulates all government employees. Camille currently serves as Past-President of the Greater New Orleans Chapter of the Louis A. Martinet Legal Society, Inc. and Martinet Legal Foundation, is a past president of the New Orleans Association for Women Attorneys, and is past chair of the New Orleans Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Committee’s Public Service Committee. Within the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, Camille serves on the Young Lawyers Division Board of Directors.
Locally, she serves on the Board of Directors for Southeast Louisiana Legal Services (SLLS), and she currently Co-Chairs the Membership Development Committee of the Junior League of New Orleans. Camille is also a past Board Member of Kids ReThink New Orleans Schools.
Dan advises clients facing challenging issues and regulatory scrutiny. He chairs the firm’s Enterprise Litigation and Government Investigations practice group of almost 30 attorneys. Dan helps financial services companies and other clients embroiled in ethics charges, criminal proceedings, and regulatory proceedings, and has prepared and represented witnesses in proceedings before Congress and regulatory agencies.
As a litigator, Dan is a major asset to clients when dealing with board-level risk profiles, taking on cases in which the fundamental reputation or business model of a company are at risk. With 30 years of experience defending clients in complex litigation and investigations, Dan is one of a very few Louisiana-based lawyers who have handled multiple Consumer Financial Protection Bureau investigations.
Dan is active in his community, serving as the president of the Elmwood Plantation Estates Homeowners’ Association and as a former board member of the Lower Garden District Association (formerly the Coliseum Square Association). Dan also served for more than 15 years as a member of the Parish Council and Finance Committee of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
He has also been active as the State Coordinator and Senior Instructor for the Revolutionary War Veterans Association, and served as a Board Member and Range Safety Officer for the Southeast Louisiana Firearms Society.

Since 2005, Leadership in Law has recognized legal professionals in four categories: firm associated, court associated, in-house counsel and educators. Honorees were selected based on their professional and community involvement and achievements that have set the pace for the overall community.
