Sullivan have been recognized in New Orleans CityBusiness’ Leadership in Law Class of 2024. This award recognizes legal professionals in New Orleans for their career and community accomplishments. Honorees will be celebrated at a reception on October 7, 2024, at the New Orleans Museum of Art.
“Angie and Sean are both dynamic leaders in the legal field, as well as the community,” said Mag Bickford, Managing Member of the New Orleans Office. “I congratulate them on this well-deserved honor. We are lucky to have them as part of the McGlinchey family and New Orleans community.”
Angie represents various organizations, including insurance companies and their subsidiaries, financial institutions, and businesses of all kinds, in a range of complex litigation, consumer financial services litigation, corporate compliance, and government contracts and investigations. She also manages a portfolio of first-party property insurance claims.
Angie works closely with clients ranging from general counsel to business owners and managers to navigate, defend, and advise on critical internal and litigated matters. She has particular experience representing mortgage loan originators, servicers, financial advisors, and investors in class and individual lawsuits. She is recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® in the area of Commercial Litigation.
Active in her community, Angie is the current Vice President of the New Orleans Bar Association (NOBA) Board of Directors and served as President of the New Orleans Bar Foundation from 2018-2022. She is deeply involved with the Veterans Justice Fellowship program, helping to develop and chair the NOBA Bar and Grille Fundraiser.
Beyond the law, Angie regularly volunteers with 232-HELP, an information and referral agency that helps those in crisis return to a healthy and productive lifestyle in the New Orleans area. She recently served on the Archbishop Chapelle High School strategic planning committee and was named the ACHS 2019 Alumna of the Year. She has also devoted innumerable hours to The Pro Bono Project, Cancer Crusaders, and The Audubon Zoo.
With almost 15 years of experience in insurance coverage and defense, Sean represents clients in first-party property claims. Focusing primarily on National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) flood insurance and homeowners insurance, he has a unique practice that spans federal and state courts.
Sean has an eye for the nuanced issues at play in Louisiana homeowners regulations, particularly with respect to “bad faith” allegations. He excels at synthesizing the unique issues in every matter and communicating the salient points to insurers who may be unfamiliar with the state’s framework.
Sean serves on the Louisiana Supreme Court Committee on Bar Admissions, where he volunteers to grade the torts and federal jurisdiction sections of the Louisiana Bar Exam. He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® in Insurance Law and has been honored with awards from the Pro Bono Project and a Certificate of Recognition from the Forum for Equality.
Sean has been very involved with the Forum For Equality, Louisiana’s LGBTQ+ human rights organization, since 2012, having held various board leadership roles. He currently serves as Past-Chair for the state-wide organization.
