Multijurisdictional Practice, Part 2: Ethical Landmines to Avoid
Read Time: 1 minNone of what we do is confined to one state. We all have transactions, negotiations, and even litigation that either occur outside of Texas or involve the laws of other states. We often travel to other states to do business or engage in interstate phone calls and teleconferences. But that’s okay, right? And if we’re licensed to practice in one state, we can essentially do that kind of practice anywhere, right? Wait, are you sure the answers to these questions are as clear-cut as they seem?
Member Michael H. Rubin (Baton Rouge) will present “Multijurisdictional Practice, Part 2: Ethical Landmines to Avoid” at the University of Texas Law CLE 47th Corporate Counsel Institute in Houston, Texas, on May 15, 2025.
UT Law CLE’s Corporate Counsel Institute offers in-depth, practical discussions on the legal issues and considerations that matter most to corporate counsel, and provides opportunities for dialogue and networking among speakers and attendees.
