New Orleans Insurance, Coverage Litigator Madison Barton Joins McGlinchey

Madison Barton has joined the firm’s New Orleans office as Of Counsel in the Enterprise Litigation and Investigations practice group. Madison brings significant experience in insurance litigation, particularly in complex commercial insurance litigation and coverage disputes, bad faith claims, and high-value matters across industries including transportation, manufacturing, construction, and healthcare.

With a focus on both first-party and third-party insurance claims, Madison has successfully handled matters ranging from trucking and auto accidents to commercial property damage, medical malpractice, construction defects, premises liability, products liability, and commercial litigation. She brings deep knowledge of market and tower policies, excess lines, and multi-carrier disputes. Her clients value her strategic approach to navigating the intricacies of policy and coverage issues.

Most recently, Madison practiced at Wanek Kirsch Davies, LLC. Prior to her legal career, Madison served as Director of Boards and Commissions for Governor Nikki Haley in her native South Carolina.
Madison is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Texas, as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Fifth Circuit, and all U.S. District Courts in Louisiana. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she served as Executive Articles Editor of the South Carolina Law Review. She has been recognized as a Louisiana Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2019 through 2025.
