Tilley’s Alabama Equity Edited by Dylan Reeves Published
Read Time: 1 minMcGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce that the sixth edition of “Tilley’s Alabama Equity,” authored by Member Dylan Reeves, has been published by Thomson Reuters. Dylan also edited the fifth edition.
The sixth edition of the practitioner treatise guides attorneys on conducting a lawsuit seeking or contesting imposition of equitable remedies in Alabama.
Specifically, it includes practical advice regarding:
- Seeking to have a court review a decision of a state agency not covered by the Alabama Administrative Procedures Act or a decision of a county or municipal agency which does not have a statutory method for having its decisions reviewed by a court
- When to have an appellate court review a Circuit Court interlocutory order by a writ of mandamus or prohibition
- Whether a declaratory judgment action would be appropriate
- When various equitable remedies such as injunction, rescission, and reformation are appropriate
Dylan is a Member in McGlinchey’s Nashville office who primarily practices business litigation, consumer financial services litigation, and appellate law. Licensed in Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Texas, Dylan is a member of the American Bar Association Litigation Section’s Membership & Marketing Committee. He is also a former member of the Board of Editors of The Alabama Lawyer and the Florida Bar Journal.
