Two Civil Litigation Attorneys Join McGlinchey in Houston

Alvin and Patrick round out the four new attorneys that have joined McGlinchey’s Houston office in 2024.
“Alvin and Patrick have unique experience and perspective not only on the industries they serve, but also on the judicial process and landscapes where they practice,” said Dan Plunkett, chair of McGlinchey’s Enterprise Litigation and Investigations practice. “We are glad to add them to our growing bench of skilled litigators.”
As an experienced trial lawyer, Alvin Houston has a broad civil and commercial litigation practice. He has more than twenty years of experience representing clients in high-exposure matters in the trucking and transportation, oilfield and refining, and property management/ apartment complex contexts. He focuses primarily on claims involving catastrophic injuries or death. He also advises businesses in commercial issues such as breach of contract, fraud, and other disputes.
Alvin earned a J.D. and certification as a Mediator from the South Texas College of Law, and holds a B.S. from McNeese State University. He is licensed in Texas.
Patrick defends businesses in civil litigation in a myriad of contexts across Texas including products liability, premises liability, serious personal injury, and wrongful death claims. He represents clients in the transportation, manufacturing, construction, energy, and retail industries, among others.
Before taking the Bar, Patrick worked as an independent insurance agent, which positions him to navigate the tripartite relationship with insurers and insureds alike. Licensed in Texas, Patrick earned a J.D. at the University of Houston Law Center and holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
