Two Offices, Three-Peat: McGlinchey’s Baton Rouge, New Orleans offices named Best Places to Work
Read Time: 3 minsMcGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce that, for the third consecutive year, both its Louisiana offices are honored as “Best Places to Work.” McGlinchey’s New Orleans office is recognized for the fifth year in a row by New Orleans CityBusiness, and the Baton Rouge office has been recognized for the third consecutive year by Greater Baton Rouge Business Report. In both cities, McGlinchey was recognized in the category of Large Employers that benefit the local economy and workforce. The employee research supporting these recognitions is conducted by Best Companies Group.
“Culture has always been and remains important to us here at McGlinchey,” said Michael Ferachi, Managing Member of the firm, also resident in Baton Rouge. “We know that clients are best served when our people bring their A-game to work, and we are proud of these continued recognitions that point to success in empowering them to do so.”
In May, the Baton Rouge office relocated to II Rivermark Centre in downtown Baton Rouge, after 32 years in its former location. The office is McGlinchey’s second largest, with 46 employees, including attorneys, clerks, legal staff, and business professionals. McGlinchey occupies an entire floor in the commercial portion of the Wampold Companies’ newly renovated Rivermark Centre, formerly known as the Chase North Tower. The move reaffirms McGlinchey’s presence in Baton Rouge with a flexible, tech-forward workspace designed to support hybrid work, client collaboration, and continued expansion. The office also hosted the inaugural “Summer School” education law seminar in 2025, led by Member Courtney Joiner, for school board members, school administrators, and educators.
“I am very proud of the team we have built here in Baton Rouge,” said Zelma Murray Frederick, Office Managing Member. “Having everyone on the same floor in the new office has positioned us to be even more supportive and collaborative. I look forward to celebrating this team, our culture, and our accomplishments for many more years.”
McGlinchey’s New Orleans office is its first and largest, with more than 100 employees across every team and function of the firm. Recently, the office has supported the Association of Women Attorneys’ Second Harvest Food Bank drive and supported the Veteran Justice Fellowship through the 2025 New Orleans Bar and Grille event. The “Bayou McGlinchey” team earned second-place wins in the Best Traditional Dish and Best Dessert categories, and brought home the trophy for third-place Best Overall.
“This is a special firm. When our employee feedback continually earns us honors like this, it bears out what we already believed: that each of us is proud to work as part of this team, and each employee believes in the work we’re doing, both for our clients and as a firm,” said Magdalen Blessey Bickford, New Orleans Office Managing Member.
This fall, New Orleans CityBusiness also recognized two McGlinchey partners with individual awards: Rudy Cerone was recognized in the Leadership in Law category and Katherine Conklin was honored among the Women of the Year.
McGlinchey was recently named the #1 large company nationally in the “Best Places to Work for Women” list by Best Companies Group, also based on employee commentary. The firm also received the “Empowering Women” recognition in New Orleans from New Orleans CityBusiness and in Boston from Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, each for the second consecutive year.
McGlinchey’s workplace culture was recognized alongside some of the largest law firms in the country among Vault’s 2025 rankings for Diversity in Law Firms, based on input from the firm’s Associates, including #26 in Overall Diversity, #16 in Quality of Life (Associate/Partner relations), #17 in Diversity for those with Disabilities, and #30 in Racial & Ethnic Diversity.
The firm has also achieved Midsize Mansfield Certification since 2023, demonstrating McGlinchey’s commitment to fostering a welcoming and supportive workplace where each employee is empowered to do their best work and advance in their careers. The firm was one of the first 100 midsized firms nationally to complete this certification.
