Where We Left Off: Revisiting Regulatory Priorities
Read Time: 1 minA change in administration always brings a change in priorities. President-elect Biden’s presumed new leader at the CFPB will launch a series of changes at the federal level and maybe even at the state level. Other agencies are less susceptible to change.
Kelly Lipinski (Cleveland) chaired and co-presented “Where We Left Off: Revisiting Regulatory Priorities” at the ABA Consumer Financial Services Committee 2021 Winter Meeting on January 27, 2021.
Kelly and her fellow speakers discussed the rulemaking and enforcement priorities of the most recent administrations, including how federal priorities have affected state financial services regulation in the past several years, and analyzed whether we should expect a Cordray-like environment that picks up where the regulators left off in 2017 or if priorities have changed in the past four years.
