Prosecuted claims seeking $20 million in compensation on behalf a general contractor on a PPP interstate project in Indiana.
Represented the general contractor of Section 5 of I-69, which is the section of interstate from Bloomington to Martinsville, Indiana. We brought an arbitration proceeding in Indiana against the owner, seeking certain claims for relief in accordance with the Public Private Agreement (PPA) existing between the parties. The claims sought extensions of time to complete portions of the project and additional compensation in excess of $20 million under the PPA and involved differing sight conditions and complex geotechnical engineering issues. Following discovery, the matter was settled.
