Represented a major national bank in a suit brought by several pooled asset funds against numerous defendants. The claims alleged violation of securities laws and ERISA and fiduciary breach. This complex securities case endangered considerable interest in light of the fact that governmental entities’ retirement assets were invested in some of the funds. Additionally, the funds’ downfall was exacerbated by the severe economic downturn in 2008.
