As a litigator, I thrive on the more complex and difficult cases. When it’s going to be a difficult set of facts, when the judge is known to be tough, when the issues are not favorable to my client’s position and there are clear obstacles from the outset, that’s when I flourish. I do my best to identify, and deliver, the best possible outcome for my clients at any stage of the litigation
Dana Carrera is an Associate in our Consumer Financial Services Litigation practice group. Based in our New York City office, Dana handles an exceptionally wide range of cases involving breach of contract, fraud, credit disputes, quiet title disputes, title gaps, commercial and consumer lending, retail banking disputes, auto finance disputes and claims under a number of state and federal statutes, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA).
Dana brings an unparalleled degree of energy, enthusiasm, dedication and resilience to her cases. She fights hard for her clients, and particularly relishes a challenge. She doesn’t back down, she’s not easily intimidated, and above all, she values her clients and is always prepared to protect her client’s interests and advance their positions. These characteristics make her a valuable asset to her clients and the firm.
As part of her practice, Dana works exceptionally closely with her clients, who come to rely on her judgment and recommendations. She regularly develops case strategy, determines the strength of legal and factual arguments, and recommends the best approaches for the prosecution and viability of claims. Although she’s an enthusiastic trial lawyer, she always seeks to resolve a case through negotiation or settlement when possible. Dana always tries to deliver the most beneficial, cost-effective and dispositive resolution to the litigation.
