Bringing valuable regulatory experience to her compliance practice, Emily Armintrout represents clients nationwide on consumer matters ranging from e-commerce and digital lending to loan documentation, underwriting, licensing. She assists banks, online lenders, finance and mortgage companies with payments systems, consumer privacy and data security, fifty-state surveys, and related issues.
Emily’s previous position as an associate national bank examiner for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency gave her valuable insight into the government’s perspective. In this capacity, she evaluated the compliance programs of national banks and thrifts to gauge adherence to applicable laws and rules governing deposits and lending.
At the OCC, Emily conducted financial analysis and risk assessments and reviewed risk management practices. As a performance assessment specialist for the City of Cleveland, Emily completed reviews for city departments to identify process weaknesses or gaps. Through both experiences, Emily honed a habit of spotting inefficiencies and revamping procedures to make them more streamlined and effective.
