Litigation requires both bold advocacy and composure under pressure. I pride myself on my preparedness, discernment, and strategic judgment. Whether preparing experts and clients for mediation or to face a jury, I excel at putting the pieces for a successful strategy in place, equipped to pivot when necessary to achieve the best possible resolution.
Gillian Miculek McCarroll focuses her practice on representing businesses in complex civil litigation nationwide. In particular, Gillian handles matters related to products liability, transportation, asbestos and toxic torts, and toxic chemicals. In contexts spanning mediation to bench and jury trials, she defends her clients’ interests against allegations of wrongful death and catastrophic injury, design defects, failure to warn claims, and many others.
Whether coordinating experts, attending inspections, or handling conferences to develop defense strategy, Gillian sees her cases through from start to finish. She takes depositions, oversees discovery, and prepares documentation to support lead counsel in defending their client’s position.
Gillian enjoys the technical nature of her work and has developed a deep understanding of her clients’ products and industries. A strong writer and communicator, she is adept at distilling specialized mechanical and scientific concepts and crafting sophisticated legal arguments around them. She has developed the nuanced judgment to determine when to settle and when to fight until the end, resolving each case in accordance with the client’s goals.
During law school, Gillian clerked in McGlinchey’s New Orleans and Baton Rouge offices. She also interned with the East Baton Rouge District Attorney’s Office and was a senior editor of Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center’s Journal of Energy Law and Resources.
As a first-generation college and law school graduate, Gillian cares deeply about removing barriers that make legal knowledge seem inaccessible or overly complicated.
