When I’m in the courtroom, I realize how much I enjoy being a litigator and just how lucky I am to do this work. I find it very rewarding to have been given the opportunity, the privilege, and the honor to try a case on my client’s behalf.
In representing insurance clients, Lauren’s solid first-party property knowledge and experience, particularly in the areas of hurricane and flood defense, set her apart from others in the field. Lauren gets deeply involved in the nitty-gritty details when preparing for trial.
Along with her insurance company clients, Lauren also represents large regional transportation companies in all manner of issues, ranging from trucking companies and freight transportation to parking and shuttle services. She has jury trial experience, manages appellate and class action cases, and provides consulting and advisory services to the transportation industry.
Lauren is proud of her ability to effectively manage a robust docket, sometimes working more than 150 cases at a given time. Based on her experience following Hurricane Ida’s destructive impacts to south Louisiana in 2021, Lauren is comfortable providing thorough representation for her insurance clients at the high volume of matters which frequently follows large natural disasters.
Embracing the challenges of the job, Lauren appreciates the many deep connections she has made with her clients. Lauren describes herself as a “classic litigator,” and is proud that her cases are often quickly set for trial. She credits an early, intense introduction to the courtroom with her comfort and success in providing effective, efficient representation to her clients, no matter the complexity of the matter, volume of her caseload, or case timeline.
Lauren’s clients trust her experience and know that her cases invariably will have their thorns. So when it comes to communication, Lauren regularly keeps her clients updated. This gives clients a degree of comfort that if they haven’t heard from her, it’s likely because there are no fires to put out.
