Ricardo “Richard” A. Aguilar is a member in the firm’s New Orleans office. His multi-state practice focuses on bringing his extensive business experience to bear for clients dealing with issues in areas involving creditor’s rights, foreclosure, bankruptcy, reorganization, and high-consequence business and commercial litigation.
Commercial/Business Representation
Indicative of the degree to which clients rely on Richard’s experience and knowledge of business operations is the fact that he is regularly entrusted with a range of commercial or business matters. Those matters often involve dealing with lender liability issues, construction contracts, estate and trust disputes, real estate contracts and leases, other contractual and unfair trade practices claims, as well as issues concerning shareholder’s rights, claims against officers and directors, and derivative actions.
Creditor’s Rights
With respect to creditor’s rights, Richard’s first-hand experience includes the enforcement of loan and lease obligations, and foreclosures associated with a broad cross-section of property, including hotels, office buildings, shopping centers, convenience stores, industrial and medical equipment, UCC collateral, royalty agreements, oil and gas rights, vessels and even seafood, just to name a few.
