Stephen “Steve” P. Beiser is a trial lawyer who advises clients on employment litigation nationwide. He has litigated federal and state claims of race, sex, age, disability, religious and political discrimination, breach of contract, wrongful termination, defamation, harassment, and infliction of emotional distress. Steve has represented clients in whistleblower, Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act, employee benefits and abuse of rights matters, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) matters, wage and hour claims, family and medical leave claims, unfair labor practices claims, class actions, and non-compete disputes.
Steve has also represented clients before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the United States Department of Labor (DOL), the Louisiana State Department of Insurance, and the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). He has handled appeals in both state and federal appeals courts and has had several published state and federal court opinions.
Steve also counsels clients in commercial litigation and regulatory law. He has represented individual clients and trade associations before the Louisiana Public Service Commission, New Orleans City Council, Alcoholic Beverage Commission, and various other administrative agencies and governmental entities.
