COVID-19: An Update on Firm Operations and Resources for Our Clients and Friends
Read Time: 1 mina message from our managing member
The health and safety of our McGlinchey family and uninterrupted service to our clients are our number one priorities as we continue to closely monitor and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
I’ve written this communication at least five times and every time the situation changes requiring a different course of action. I know you are struggling with this too.
Well before COVID-19 we devised a comprehensive business continuity disaster plan that allows us to transition to a virtual environment to ensure seamless service for our clients. This past weekend we conducted a test of our virtual practice capabilities and everything worked flawlessly. Yesterday we sent a communication to all attorneys and staff across our 15 national offices that effective immediately all members of the McGlinchey family were encouraged to work remotely. While not a mandate, that may come at some point in the near future on an office-by-office basis.
Like most of you, we also put procedures in place last week to keep people healthy and safe, including cancelling all firm travel and off-site meetings, suspending visitors and on-site meetings, and practicing social distancing.
As this situation evolves we will adjust and adapt accordingly.
In addition, and in an effort to keep our clients informed and provide more value, we have launched a COVID-19 Resource Page on our website. In this unprecedented situation, we know you need, above all, information. This is where you’ll find it.
I’d like to close with something personal. I have been an attorney for more than 35 years, and I have never seen anything like this. However, here is what I have seen. The real test of any organization is not when things are routine, but when there’s a crisis. And in the face of this, everyone at McGlinchey has risen to this challenge and pulled together. I am proud of them. We will weather this together. As a McGlinchey client and friend, you can rely on all of us to be there for you, now, and in the future.
We hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy and we wish everyone well as we collectively navigate this global challenge.
Be Well, Stay Well,
Rudy Aguilar, Managing Member
