Hunter Twiford Is Inducted Into American Board of Trial Advocates

Hunter Twiford (Jackson) was recently inducted as a member of the Mississippi Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Founded in 1958, ABOTA is a national organization of highly experienced trial lawyers and judges. Membership is by invitation only, and is based in part on the number of completed jury trials. ABOTA is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury rights provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The Mississippi Chapter’s bylaws provide that only the top one percent of litigators in the state may be members, and the total membership is currently limited to 75 Mississippi attorneys. A minimum of 20 jury trials tried to verdict and an affirmative super majority of the vote of the current membership are required for initial consideration. Hunter was inducted at the level of Advocate, which requires at least 50 completed jury trials.
