McGlinchey Co-Sponsors Annual National Bar Association Judge’s Dinner
Read Time: 1 minOn Wednesday, August 3, McGlinchey Stafford and Rodney Law Firm co-sponsored the Lionel R. Collins Dinner to honor Louisiana’s African-American Judiciary. Named for one of the first African American judges in the state, this dinner is held annually at the National Bar Association’s annual conference. This year’s 80th annual NBA meeting was held in Orlando, Florida at the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton.
The dinner was attended by 41 people, including Supreme Court Justice Johnson, various civil court judges from all over the state, a criminal magistrate, juvenile court judges, an appellate judge for the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeal and retired Justice Ortique. Following a cocktail reception and dinner, Regina Bartholomew, General Counsel of the Orleans Parish School Board, took the podium to speak on the current state of the New Orleans School System. Next year's annual dinner will be held in Detroit, MI.
