McGlinchey Stafford Opens New Office in Jacksonville, Florida

Jacksonville, FL (December 7, 2010) – McGlinchey Stafford PLLC announced today that the firm has opened a new office in Jacksonville, Florida, expanding the firm’s presence to nine offices in six states. The Florida office is home to two new attorneys: Mark New and Carter Burgess.
The addition of this team of attorneys expands the firm’s ability to serve the legal needs of key clients in the areas of financial services, business and general civil litigation. The firm has more than 150 attorneys in its eight other offices in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio and New York.
ABOUT THE NEW JACKSONVILLE ATTORNEYS
Mark New represents mortgage lenders, banks and other financial services clients in consumer financial services litigation, including the defense of FDCPA, FCRA, and wrongful foreclosure claims, and in real estate litigation, where he handles commercial evictions and premises liability claims. He joins McGlinchey Stafford with ten years of legal experience as a trial attorney, primarily handling business, real estate and general civil litigation. New comes to the firm from a Jacksonville-based law firm where he headed the firm’s civil litigation department. New earned both his law degree and B.S. from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Carter Burgess serves financial services clients in various facets of consumer financial services litigation, including creditors’ rights, business, real estate and general civil litigation. Burgess is a 2008 graduate of Florida Coastal School of Law. He received his undergraduate degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
