McGlinchey Stafford’s Grodner named Chair of ABA Commercial Finance Committee
Read Time: 1 minMcGlinchey Stafford PLLC is pleased to announce that Member Marshall Grodner (Baton Rouge) has been named Chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) – Business Law Section’s Commercial Finance Committee, one of the section’s largest committees. This committee provides cutting-edge, practical knowledge and guidance for commercial finance, real estate finance, and restructuring lawyers, focusing on new developments and industry practices in commercial finance, real estate finance, and restructurings, and facilitating the development and evolution of commercial finance, real estate finance, and restructuring laws.
Marshall is also serving as 2019 Vice President of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers (ACCFL). He was appointed a lifelong Fellow of the College in 2006 and has served on the group’s Executive Committee as Treasurer in 2018.
Within the ABA’s Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law Section, Marshall is current Chair of the Ethics and Professionalism Committee, and Vice-Chair of the Real Property Litigation and Ethics Group.
His nearly thirty-year career has established him as a national authority in commercial finance and real estate. He is also is a leading voice in legal opinions, is a licensed title insurance agent and lectures nationally on commercial finance, real estate legal opinions, and legal ethics and professionalism.
In addition to his current leadership, Marshall has also held positions within the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL); and the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys, Inc. (ACFA). He is a contributing reporter for the “The Uniform Commercial Code Opinions In Real Estate Finance Transactions Report,” published in the Fall 2018/Winter 2019 issue of the ABA’s Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Journal.
