H. Hunter Twiford, III, a Member in McGlinchey Stafford’s Jackson Mississippi office, has authored the Mississippi chapter of a new book published by the American Bar Association (ABA).
The two-volume Commercial Lending Law, Second Edition: A Jurisdiction-by-Jurisdiction Guide of U.S. and Canada outlines applicable commercial lending laws in all 50 states, and serves as a resource for lenders and attorneys negotiating or reviewing commercial lending laws outside of their own jurisdictions.
According to the ABA, the second edition of Commercial Lending Law was published following “considerable developments in statutory and case law relevant to commercial lending growing out of the litigation and legislation sparked by the recession in 2008.”
Twiford also authored the Mississippi law chapter of the first edition of Commercial lending Law, published in 2009, and the Mississippi Chapter of The Law of Guaranties: A Jurisdiction-by-Jurisdiction Guide to the U.S. and Canada, also published by the ABA in 2013.
A senior litigator in the McGlinchey Stafford’s Commercial Litigation section, Twiford has more than 40 years of practice experience. He chairs the firm’s Mississippi Commercial Litigation section and the Mississippi Class Action and Mass Action group. His practice is exclusively devoted to litigation, primarily in federal court, with emphasis on the defense of class actions and mass actions, complex commercial litigation, and complex lender liability litigation.
