McGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce that senior member Michael H. Rubin has been selected as Best Lawyers in America’s 2009 Baton Rouge Banking Lawyer of the Year.
Each year, Best Lawyers in America recognizes one lawyer per service area in each large legal community as the “Lawyer of the Year.” The award is given to lawyers who received extremely high ratings and particularly effusive comments from their peers during the Best Lawyers attorney review process.

He has served as an adjunct law professor for more than 30 years, and is a nationally-known speaker whose presentations on topics such as legal ethics, appellate advocacy, real estate, finance and trial tactics have been widely praised throughout the United States and Canada. Additionally, Rubin is an author, co-author and contributing writer of eleven books and over thirty articles for law reviews and periodicals, and his writings have been cited as authoritative by state and federal courts, including state supreme courts and federal appellate courts. For more than 10 years, Rubin has been selected by Best Lawyers in America as a leading lawyer in his field. Rubin received his law degree from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center and his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Amherst College.
