Clearwater, FLMember Kelly Lipinski (Cleveland) will participating in a panel session titled “‘Regulatory Round-Up’ Part II: Federal Efforts Impacting Student Loan Servicing and Collections” at the National Council of Higher Education Resources’ Spring Convention on June 7 in Clearwater Florida. With the recent change in the Administration, there is new leadership and different priorities and approaches emerging from federal agencies that oversee the servicing and collection of federal and private loans, including the U.S. Department of Education, the Federal Communications Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Securities and Exchange Commission. The session will examine recent actions taken by federal agencies, and forecast the policy implications we might see going forward as the Administration continues to staff up and its plans turn into regulatory policy.
