No matter the client, litigation can be daunting. I like to reassure clients that they’re not alone in this process. Whether I’m representing a small business in a dispute that could alter their operations or working with a corporation to strategize across a portfolio of matters, I bring an affable demeanor and a strong work ethic.
Adam Van Korlaar represents clients ranging from small businesses and homeowners associations (HOAs) to international corporations in business disputes, landlord/tenant issues, employment disputes, trade secrets, and various other litigation.
With considerable experience defending client interests in matters involving serious personal injuries, premises liability, toxic torts, and “lemon law”/warranty disputes, Adam has exposure in several elements of insurance defense and litigation.
Adam prides himself on his persuasive skills that manifest across written discovery, depositions, and court hearings. He has researched and hired experts, managed witnesses, and handled documentation from pre-trial through jury trial preparation. Adam views challenges as lessons in disguise and never declines a new opportunity.
Previously, Adam was a senior associate at a well-respected defense law firm in Southern California for seven years. Prior to that, he clerked in the Licensing Section of the California Attorney General’s Office as well as the Consumer Protection Division of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. He also volunteered with the Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County assisting pro per litigants.
