With over 20 years of experience as a legal secretary, I have a deep understanding of the needs and demands of legal staff and attorneys to ensure the efficient completion of complex legal tasks. I’ve held numerous legal roles, and this experience positions me to coordinate seamlessly across teams, identify opportunities, and streamline processes.
Marlo Brown has oversight of staffing, capacity, and workflow across the firm to distribute work efficiently and assemble effective team structures. When team configurations shift, Marlo zooms out to analyze project and office needs and makes digestible recommendations to leadership regarding staffing, processes, and resources.
This work includes managing the firm’s SOS team, a firmwide secretarial network that provides all-hands-on-deck support for large projects or quick deadlines.
As an invaluable voice on the strategy side of administration, Marlo also tests software and monitors industry trends. She collaborates across functions like HR, IT, training, marketing, and others to proactively identify and develop solutions that keep McGlinchey at the forefront of cutting-edge legal performance.
Marlo has been with McGlinchey for more than two decades, starting as a Legal Secretary in the Jackson office and advancing to Regional Team Lead and Regional Administrator before being named Director of Legal Support. Her experience includes serving as an Office Manager and Legal Assistant at another firm. Additionally, she has been a Notary Public for over 25 years. Marlo proudly earned her Bachelor’s degree summa cum laude while working full-time and raising three teenagers.
